Methodology
Rhinoplasty
Bulbous Tip Correction (with Ear Cartilage Graft) – Narrows and refines a round, bulbous nose tip using cartilage taken from the ear to reshape and support the new tip structure. How it works: An incision is made (closed, inside the nostrils, or open, with a small cut across the columella) to access the tip cartilage. The existing lower tip cartilage is trimmed and reshaped/sutured to create a slimmer, more defined point. A small piece of cartilage is harvested from the ear (usually the back/conchal area, leaving a hidden scar) and used as a graft to add structure, support, or refine the tip shape further — common when the patient's own nose cartilage is too soft, weak, or insufficient for the desired shape. The ear incision is closed separately with sutures. Recovery: Nose: splint worn for about 1 week, swelling/bruising visible for 1–2 weeks, final shape settles over 3–6 months (subtle refinement continues up to a year). Ear: minor soreness for a few days, small dressing/bandage on the ear for about a week, scar is hidden in the natural fold behind the ear.
